Traveling with Infants

Duty Free Purchases

Duty free purchases such as liquor, cigarettes and perfumes are permitted in reasonable quantities for all classes. However, liquid restrictions in airports may prevent these items from getting past security screening points. Please explore the liquid restrictions at your departure and arrival airports for more information.

Cabin Baggage Placement

All cabin baggage must fit either under the seat in front of you or in one of the overhead lockers. Please note that it is strictly forbidden to place your baggage behind your legs, in the aisles or in front of emergency exits due to healthy and safety reasons.

Transporting personal items

If you’re bringing liquids, powders or medicines on board, please make sure to package them in compliance with international regulations.

Liquids:

Maximum: 100 ml

Liquids, gels, aerosols, pastes, creams, lotions, drinks and all other similar items must be carried in containers of 100 ml or less. Containers larger than 100 ml are not permitted even if partially filled.

Baby food & special dietary restrictions:

Exemptions may apply for baby milk, baby food and special dietary items. You may be required to provide proof to verify the nature of these items at the security screening point.

Medication:

Personal medication cannot be stored in aircraft galley chillers. If your medicine requires temperature-controlled storage, please pack it in a medically approved insulated container. Cabin crew can provide ice on request to help keep your container cool during the flight.

Powders:

Powders in containers 350 ml or larger are not permitted in carry-on baggage and must be placed in checked baggage.

Exemptions include:

  • Baby formula
  • Prescription medicines
  • Humain remains

Depending on your last point of departure, powders over 350 ml in carry-on baggage may be confiscated during security screening at certain airports. Please explore restrictions regarding powders at your departure and arrival airports for more information. Powder-like substances purchased from airport duty free shops must be placed with the purchase receipt.
